Maser’s partner MatSing, a world leader in Lens Antenna technology, have played a key role in supporting network coverage at this year’s Superbowl, with the installation of 259 antennas at Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, USA.

US carrier Verizon installed 42 of the MatSing ball antennas on the ceiling of the superdome which have as many as 48 beams that reach all the way to the field below. Each antenna beam can cover approx 600 users. The antennas are ideal for line-of-sight requirements in wireless networks and are more efficient and less costly than under-the-seat antennas making them perfect for large event settings.

In addition the stadium also used single-beam antennas in suites and concourses throughout, as well as multiband MatSing antennas which support both lowband and C-band spectrum.

Matsing have a history of supporting the Superbowl with 79 of their antennas installed at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, for last year’s event.

Their antennas have also been deployed locally at Stadium Australia, in Sydney.
