Vodafone, Ericsson and EMITE have carried out the first massive MIMO OTA realistic laboratory test for 5G Stand Alone (SA) on the n78 band, an “important milestone” for fulfilling most requirements for future 5G applications on a network.<\/p>\n

The demonstration, conducted at Vodafone’s 5G lab in Dusseldorf, included an Ericsson 5G SA mMIMO prototype base station, a 5G SA UE prototype and EMITE’s F200 hybrid anechoic reverberation chamber, and achieved a single-user data rate of approximately 400 Mbps under outdoor-to-indoor OTA realistic fading.<\/p>\n
