{"id":4979,"date":"2016-05-10T12:34:13","date_gmt":"2016-05-10T02:34:13","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.maserdefence.com.au\/?p=4979"},"modified":"2017-03-08T00:17:48","modified_gmt":"2017-03-08T00:17:48","slug":"new-muos-antennas-trivec","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/maser.com.au\/defence\/news\/new-muos-antennas-trivec\/","title":{"rendered":"New MUOS antennas from Trivec"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The arrival of the U.S. Navy\u2019s Mobile User Objective System (MUOS) next generation narrowband tactical satellite communication system, has been a significant event for Cobham\u2019s Trivec Avant division.<br \/>\nMUOS is designed to significantly improve ground communications for forces on the move.<br \/>\nThe system currently comprises four satellites, with a fifth on the way. These satellites also incorporate UHF legacy functionality, but are primarily designed to provide significantly more communication capacities using the frequencies up to 380 MHz, and extension of the legacy of UHF bands.<br \/>\nTrivec Avant has engineered their market-leading UHF antennas to operate in both the UHF and MUOS bands while maintaining the same form, fit and function.<br \/>\nThe range includes: AV2086-4, which will replace the AV2086-1 which is on every US riverine\/RHIB boat.
